About Hester Legal Nurse Consulting

Nena Hester, founder, and owner of Hester Legal Nurse Consulting is a Registered Nurse and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant with over 24 years of nursing experience in clinical and health care delivery systems. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University. Her certification in Legal Nurse Consulting is from the Vickie Milazzo Institute, the company that pioneered Legal Nurse Consulting.

Nena has worked in numerous clinical and administrative health care areas, including all disciplines of the Operating Room, Home Health Care, Respiratory and Infusion therapy and applied Compliance Standards. She has extensive Neurosurgical experience (brain, cervical, lumbar) in the operating room, physician’s office and hospital.

Her twenty-four years of experience in addition to her comprehensive education provides her with the unique ability to quickly review, analyze and interpret medical records from a clinical perspective.

She is a member of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants and the American Association of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. Nena also serves on the board of W.M. Durham and Associates, Certified Financial Planners and is a past member of the Leon County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse.

Nena has one grown son living in Nashville and is an avid horsewoman. She enjoys FSU and Alabama football, trail riding and attending Plantation Field Trials with her Tennessee Walking Horse, Cody.
